Privacy Policy
Unhoard · Effective September 6, 2026
Unhoard is provided by Immersive Peaks LLC. This policy covers the Unhoard iPhone app, including its development preview, and this website. You do not need an Unhoard account.
Unhoard processes your photo library on your iPhone. We do not upload your photos or photo-library metadata to our servers or subscription provider. Purchases, app updates and support involve the limited information described below.
Photos and your choices
You choose whether Unhoard can access all photos, selected photos or none. The app uses Apple’s Photos APIs to identify screenshots and exact burst groups and display previews. It reads information such as local asset identifiers, dates, image dimensions and burst membership on your device.
Keep, Later and removal choices, monthly removal counts, unfinished cleanup records and your last 20 cleanup receipts are stored locally. Unhoard does not send these choices to an analytics service. Apple’s device-backup settings may determine whether local app data is included in your device backups.
An iCloud preview is requested from Apple only when you choose to load it. Your own iCloud Photos settings and Apple’s privacy practices govern Apple’s storage and syncing of your library. Unhoard does not automatically download full-resolution originals.
Marking a photo for removal does not delete it. Deletion requires review in Unhoard and confirmation in iOS. Deleted photos move to Recently Deleted in Photos, where Apple ordinarily allows recovery for up to 30 days. With iCloud Photos, deletion also affects your synced devices.
Purchases and Premium access
Apple processes payments. We do not receive your payment-card information. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore Premium access and understand subscription performance.
RevenueCat receives an anonymous app identifier, purchase and transaction information, subscription status and dates, and technical information such as operating system, locale and currency. This can occur when the app checks purchase availability or access, even if you do not make a new purchase. The app does not send your name, email address, photos or photo-library metadata to RevenueCat. We do not supply a custom identifier connected to an Unhoard account.
See Apple’s App Store privacy information and RevenueCat’s privacy information for more about these services.
App updates and reliability
Expo’s EAS Update service delivers app fixes. Update requests include a randomly generated installation identifier, device platform, app runtime version and update identifiers. They may also include a previous fatal-error description and failed-update identifiers to help recover from a broken update. These records support delivery and reliability reporting; they are not advertising identifiers.
Network services also receive connection information such as an IP address when serving requests. We do not add your photo-library contents or sorting choices to update requests. See Expo’s privacy policy.
Website and support
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and may process ordinary request information, including IP address, browser information and the requested page. We have not added advertising trackers or a marketing analytics script to these pages. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate the issue and keep an appropriate support record. Please avoid sending private photos or passwords. If you choose to share a purchase reference for help, the support correspondence may connect that reference to your email address.
A browser demonstration, when offered, uses invented sample images and stores its sample choices in that browser. It does not access your real photo library.
Advertising and sharing
Unhoard does not sell personal information, show third-party ads, or use your data for cross-app advertising tracking. We use service providers for the functions described above. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect the security and rights of our users and business. We do not have server-side copies of your photo library to disclose.
Retention and your controls
Local progress remains on your device while the app is installed, subject to your device settings and backups. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading an app may preserve it. This does not delete your Photos library, erase backups or cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
Purchase records are retained as needed to validate and restore access, handle refunds, prevent fraud and meet recordkeeping obligations. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations. Update and hosting providers retain service records under their applicable policies and agreements.
You can change photo access in iPhone Settings at any time and clear browser demonstration data through your browser settings. Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold, or object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us below. We may need information to locate the relevant record and verify a request; we cannot retrieve photos or choices that exist only on your device. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.
Other information
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved; no system can guarantee absolute security.
Unhoard is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
